At Picchetti Dental Care, every member of our staff is friendly, professional and experienced. We are committed to providing you with personalized care and service.
Beth has been with Picchetti Dental care since 1989. Because most of her patients have been with her for at least 20 years they feel more like family to her. “I love that I have really gotten to know so many patients and have formed lasting relationships with them”. Many people have said that it’s because she’s “very gentle” and truly cares about them. “My goal is to provide enough education and incentive so people not only strive to keep their teeth as clean as possible but try to maintain a healthy lifestyle as well.” Beth actually enjoys all aspects of dentistry. Not only does she “clean teeth”, she will jump in and assist the Doctor when she is free. She also fills in at the front desk when needed and works in the business aspect of the practice.
Beth received her Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene and her Bachelors degree in Health Care Management from SIU-Carbondale. She loves to keep up-to-date on current products, procedures and techniques by reading and attending continuing education courses. She is certified to provide Laser Bacterial Reduction which has been very successful in helping to treat gingivitis and fight periodontal disease. On a more personal note, Beth and her husband, Mark have a daughter who is studying Animal Science with the goal of being a Veterinarian and a son still in high school. “They have kept me busy over the years as I volunteered as a Girl Scout leader for 12 years with my daughter and have ridden over 100 miles on bike trails with my son. I also enjoy volunteering at my church and other organizations and taking care of patients as a dental hygienists all these years has been extremely rewarding for me!”
LeeAnna has wanted to be a dental hygienist since she was in 8th grade. Growing up closely within this practice, she admired the preventive care we give to our patients to help them achieve maximum oral health. She also loves that we take a more conservative approach to dentistry, and the way we discuss different treatment options with the patients so they are involved in making the decisions about the best care possible they can receive.
After assisting in our office for 5 years, LeeAnna realized that being a hygienist was her real passion so she entered the Dental Hygiene Program at College of DuPage in 2007. “My goal is to try to help everyone be decay and gum disease free. Preventive Dentistry is the best, healthiest, and least expensive way to stay healthy and keep your teeth”. She finds it very important to stay up to date with new techniques, strategies, and technology to help you achieve not only optimum oral health but overall systemic health too. LeeAnna is certified to provide Laser Bacteria Reduction which has been instrumental in the fight against gingivitis and periodontal disease.
LeeAnna has been married to John since 2007 and has 3 children, Rose, Johnny, and Christopher. Family time is very important and they love biking, hiking, and outdoor picnics together.
An integral member of our team since 2001, Martha has been in the dental field for over 32 years. She gained valuable experience assisting in other offices with full mouth reconstruction cases and helping with the lab work. She now coordinates the front desk and runs the business aspect of the practice. She will schedule your appointments and help make sure you understand and receive the optimum benefits from your insurance. Martha wants to make sure the office runs as smoothly as possible so she never hesitates to step in to assist the Doctors, staff and patients. She loves getting to know the patients and wants to make sure you have a wonderful experience in our office.
One of Martha’s favorite pastimes outside of the office is gardening and spending time outdoors. She has created beautiful floral and plant arrangements in her yard and we love that she brings us vegetables from her garden.
After previously working in various customer service positions in the retail field, Sharon entered the dental field over 16 years ago where she continues to provide exceptional customer service in our office. She will greet you with a warm, friendly smile, schedule your appointments and help answer your insurance questions.
When Sharon is not working, she loves to spend time with her family, especially in the summer when she loves to hang out by the pool.
Sara has recently joined our team to gain more experience in the dental field. She has always had a passion for dentistry and is working towards becoming a Registered Dental Hygienist in the next couple of years. She is inspired to help patients lead healthier lives and wants to educate others in the importance of maintaining optimal oral health. In the meantime she is gaining valuable knowledge and learning more about different dental procedures as she schedules appointments and helps out in the lab and operatories and observes the doctors and hygienists whenever she can. She is looking forward to the day when she can start treating patients herself.
Dana has over 34 years experience in the dental field. She started out in dental lab technology because she loved the aspect of creating and designing crowns and other restorations but being a “people person” she decided she wanted to work with patients so she became an assistant. She enjoys surgical procedures but her favorite aspect of dentistry is the creative and cosmetic part and loves it when someone has a “smile makeover”. “It’s great to see someone who was previously embarrassed by their smile to leave feeling happier and more confident. A new smile can really change someone’s life”. Since it’s important to her that people love their smile, her lab experience comes in very handy when it comes to making the temporary restorations that patients wear while waiting for their permanent ones to be made. She strives to make them look beautiful.
Her creativity also expands outside of the office as a jewelry designer and she loves to sell her beautiful hand-made wears at craft fairs. And if that doesn’t keep her busy enough, she recently earned her real estate license too.
Dana’s other area of interests is good nutrition through healthy eating and nutritional supplements. She spends a lot of time learning about these topics and enjoys sharing this information and talking with patients about how to help achieve and maintain better overall health. All of her combined knowledge, skills, and experience make her a great asset to our team.
With her extensive surgical assisting skills, Maria joined our team as an assistant on Saturdays since this is when we perform most of our surgical procedures. She has been assisting for over 25 years with orthodontics and general dentistry but her favorite is surgical because each situation is unique, and she is constantly learning something new.
Outside of the office she enjoys quiet time at home with her dogs or spending time with her close knit family.
